Celebrating Answered Prayer

One of the most powerful features of PrayerConnect is the ability to mark prayers as answered—celebrating God's faithfulness with your community.

How to Mark a Prayer as Answered

For Request Owners

  1. Go to My Requests in the sidebar
  2. Find your request
  3. Click the "Mark as Answered" button
  4. Optionally add a testimony or update
  5. Confirm

For Moderators

  1. Go to Moderation or the Prayer Wall
  2. Find the request
  3. Click the menu (three dots)
  4. Select "Mark as Answered"

What Happens When Marked Answered?

  • The request gets an "Answered" badge
  • It moves to the Answered section (if enabled)
  • People who prayed may receive a notification
  • It's tracked in your analytics

Adding a Testimony

When marking as answered, you can:

  1. Share how God answered
  2. Thank those who prayed
  3. Provide an update on the situation

Example Testimony

"Thank you all for praying! My father's surgery went perfectly. The doctors are amazed at his quick recovery. God is good!"

Answered Prayer Wall Section

Some churches display answered prayers prominently:

  • Encourages faith
  • Shows prayer works
  • Celebrates God's goodness
Ask your admin to enable this in Settings if not visible.

Best Practices

Mark Promptly

When God answers, update your request right away while it's fresh.

Be Specific

Share details about how God answered—it encourages others.

Include Partial Answers

Even if the situation isn't fully resolved, acknowledge progress.

Celebrate Publicly

Answered prayers build community faith.

Privacy Considerations

  • Only mark as answered if you're comfortable sharing publicly
  • You can add a private update instead
  • Answered prayers follow the same privacy settings as the original request

Analytics

Track answered prayers in your dashboard:

  • Total answered prayers
  • Average time to answered
  • Categories with most answers
  • Monthly answered prayer trends
This data helps demonstrate the power of your prayer ministry.
