Effective Date: July 13, 2026
This policy sets out what is and is not allowed on PrayerConnect. It applies to every user, including church administrators, moderators, members, and guests submitting prayer requests. It supplements — and forms part of — the Terms of Service.
1. Content you must not post
You may not submit or share content that:
- Is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or hateful
- Names, identifies, or discloses private information about a third party without their consent ("doxxing"), including allegations of criminal or immoral conduct
- Contains child sexual abuse material or sexualizes minors in any way
- Infringes intellectual-property, publicity, or privacy rights of others
- Promotes self-harm, suicide, or violence against any person or group
- Constitutes spam, chain letters, unsolicited advertising, or fund-raising outside the church's own ministry activities
- Contains malicious code, phishing links, or exploits
- Impersonates another person, church, or organization, or misrepresents affiliation with one
2. Behaviour that is not allowed
- Attempting to access data belonging to another church workspace or user
- Scraping, crawling, or bulk-exporting data beyond published rate limits
- Bypassing or attempting to disable security controls, CAPTCHA, or authentication
- Testing the platform for vulnerabilities without following our responsible disclosure process
- Reselling, sublicensing, or rebranding the service without written permission
- Using automated tools to submit prayer requests, comments, reactions, or messages at scale
3. Prayer content: extra care
Prayer requests often contain sensitive personal information. When submitting a prayer request that names or describes another person:
- Only include information the person would reasonably want shared with the intended audience
- Prefer first names or initials over full names for third parties
- Use the "Private" privacy option for anything the person has not consented to share publicly
- Never post medical, legal, financial, or immigration details about someone else without their consent
4. Reporting and takedowns
Every prayer request and comment can be flagged by any member of the church. Flagged content is queued for moderator review. Church admins have full authority to remove any content within their workspace.
To report content that violates this policy but a church has not removed, submit a legal / compliance report with a link to the content and a description of the issue. For copyright complaints, please follow the DMCA process described in Section 5.
5. Copyright & DMCA
Copyright complaints, including notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), should be submitted through our contact form (topic: Legal / compliance) and must include: (i) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorised agent; (ii) identification of the work claimed to be infringed; (iii) the URL of the infringing material; (iv) contact information; (v) a good-faith statement that use is not authorised; and (vi) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notification is accurate.
6. Enforcement
We may remove content, suspend individual users, or suspend an entire church workspace without notice for serious or repeated violations of this policy. Emergency threats to life or safety may be reported to law enforcement without prior notice.
7. Questions
Use our contact form for any questions about how this policy applies to you or your church. The contact form is our designated point of contact; we do not operate public mailboxes.
