How to Connect Tithely Church Management

Connect Tithely Church Management

Sync your Tithely directory with PrayerConnect using your API key. This is the simplest integration to set up!

Note: Tithely Church Management was formerly known as Breeze ChMS. If you were using Breeze before, your existing API key and data are still compatible.

Prerequisites

Before connecting, ensure you have:

• Admin access to your Tithely account
• Your Tithely API key

Step 1: Get Your Tithely API Key

1. Log in to Tithely as an administrator
2. Click your profile picture in the top right
3. Select Account Settings
4. Go to the API tab
5. Click Generate New API Key (or copy your existing key)

Tip: Give your API key a descriptive name like "PrayerConnect Integration"

Step 2: Enter Your API Key in PrayerConnect

1. Go to Settings → Integrations in PrayerConnect
2. Find the Tithely Church Management card
3. Paste your API key in the field provided

Step 3: Test and Connect

1. Click Test Connection
2. Wait for the green success message
3. Click Connect to save
4. Click Sync Now to import your directory

What Gets Synced?

About Tags

Tithely uses "tags" instead of traditional groups. Common tags include:

• Small groups
• Ministry teams
• Membership status
• Age groups

These sync as groups in PrayerConnect.

Migrating from Breeze ChMS

If you were previously using Breeze ChMS:

1. Your existing API key should still work
2. Data format remains the same
3. No action needed—just continue using your integration

Troubleshooting

"Invalid API Key" Error

• Make sure you copied the complete API key
• Verify the key hasn't been revoked
• Try generating a new key in Tithely

Members Not Appearing

• Only active members are synced
• Members must have an email address
• Check if members are archived in Tithely

Slow Sync

• Tithely API has rate limits (~120 requests/minute)
• Large churches may take a few minutes
• Syncing happens in batches automatically

Security

Your Tithely API key is:

• Encrypted using AES-256 encryption
• Never stored in plain text
• Only used for syncing operations
• Deletable at any time by disconnecting

Disconnecting

To disconnect Tithely:

1. Go to Settings → Integrations
2. Click Disconnect on the Tithely card
3. Confirm the disconnection

Your API key will be permanently deleted from our system.
